ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Rock Hill Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Circle K Thursday evening.
Police responded to the Celanese Roach location around 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, the clerk informed officers that a black man approached the register placing a Reese’s, pink Lemonade, and a camouflage-colored pistol on the countertop.
According to a news release, the suspect stated, “Give me the money from the register, and no one has to get hurt.” The suspect then grabbed the slide of the firearm chambering a round.
The clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash from the register before the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect has been described as being around 5’11”, wearing a black ski mask, black pants, navy hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and black shoes, according to authorities.
The Rock Hill Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is continuing the investigation.
