CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are investigating a shooting in north Charlotte after finding a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound on Saturday.

Around 2:45 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service on Sunset Road.

At the scene, officers located a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
