Showers and storms greeted us this morning, but a gorgeous Saturday afternoon is unfolding across the Carolinas. Expect more beautiful weather to continue into our Easter Sunday, as highs hover around 70º in the Piedmont and Foothills. Mostly cloudy skies will kick off the second half of our holiday weekend, but more sunshine will build in by the afternoon. Enjoy the good times while they last! More rain arrives to kick off the workweek.
Monday morning will be downright miserable. Colder air will push into the region due to high pressure to our north. To make matters worse, a Gulf-born system will sweep through the Carolinas around the same timeframe, which will lead to a messy commute. Highs will struggle to get out of the 40s across the board on Monday as the rain moves out by the evening. Despite the lousy start to the week, sunshine and warmer temperatures steadily build back into the forecast through the weekend.
