Discussion:
Starting off the morning with the coldest temps we have seen since late April. Freeze Warning/Frost Advisory remains in effect through 10am. Temps will warm to the mid 50s this afternoon with more sunshine in the forecast. Overnight lows will once again fall into the 30s, but it won’t be quite as cold as what we’re waking up to this morning as clouds return to the region. A low off the Carolina coast is looking to nudge further inland. This means a better chance that it will bring possible showers for areas mainly east of 77 Saturday afternoon. GFS has been on this for most of the week, and other models are now coming on board so it’s looking more and more likely that showers will return late Saturday. Clouds will begin to clear Sunday as high pressure takes control of the region as the low slides away from the coast. Temps will warm to the mid 60s Sunday with the low to mid 70s returning early next week.
