On and off rain chances this week
Spotty showers and patchy fog to start this 2’s day (get it…it’s 2/22/22 on a Tuesday). A few sprinkles will be possible through the day, but most of the area will remain dry, breezy, and cloudy with temps climbing into the low 70s. Overnight lows will settle in the upper 50s to lower 60s overnight. A cold front will slowly be approaching from the west Wednesday bringing rain and an isolated rumble of thunder early in the day. This weak front will likely stall just south of the area. The best shot at rain will remain for the mountains and areas west. Clouds will become locked in place and keep temps cooler Thursday with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. The front will lift Thursday night increasing temps into the mid-70s Friday before a stronger disturbance finally pushes through.
Severe Threat = Low
Flooding Threat = Low
Weekend Forecast
We’ll catch a break from the rain and see a drop in temps Saturday. Another cold front will bring more rain and even a brief shot of snow for the mountains Sunday. Chillier end to the weekend with overnight lows Sunday falling near freezing.
