CHARLOTTE, NC. — Anthony Tolbert is planning to watch the much anticipated UNC vs. Duke match-up at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille Saturday.
“It gives an opportunity to get back to a sense of normalcy and then during this time of year, March madness, what better time of year to get everybody back out. Go, North Carolina,” says Tolbert.
Daniel O’Brien is the manager at the restaurant. They’re expecting to bring in 300-400% more business than a day during the pandemic.
“The pandemic really hit us hard and a lot of people are supporting us and we’re getting a lot back it’s great to be back in action and we’re crushing it better than ever,” O’Brien says.
Brewers at 4001 on Yancey Road will have all hands on deck for the game. They’re having a watch party and opening up their beer garden for the night.
“This is going to be one of the biggest sporting events Charlotte has seen in a while, other than the Super Bowl or maybe the first Charlotte FC game. But we are prepping heavy, we’re staffing heavy, we’re getting everybody ready for the madness that is to ensue tomorrow,” says manager Matt Chipley.
