IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 26-year-old Mooresville man for sexual exploitation of a minor.
The sheriff’s office received information from a CyberTip on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations. The Special Victims Unit detectives verified the images, and obtained a search warrant for a possible suspect account information.
After receiving the information necessary to continue the investigation, Iredell County Detective J. Wabel continued with the investigation. After the information and images were reviewed detectives determined the images were child pornography.
Based on all the evidence gathered during the investigation, the sheriff’s office obtained arrest warrants for Austin Zivich for three counts of felony third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to deputies.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office located Zivich and served the arrest warrants on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021. Zivich was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he appeared before the magistrate who issued a $50,000 unsecured bond on these charges.
