Sunny and Warm Monday
Mild temps to start the morning in the mid to upper 50s. Highs will reach the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will only fall into the low 60s, making for a mild night.
Tuesday Rain/Storms
A cold front approaching from the west will bring numerous showers and scattered storms to the region Tuesday beginning midday. Highs will still be warm, reaching the low to mid-80s during the afternoon ahead of the cold front. As of now, the SPC has a marginal risk (level 1) for the far eastern edge of the region through central NC. Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible with damaging wind gusts being the biggest threat.
Mild and Dry Through the End of the Week
After the front passes Tuesday evening, expect a breezy and cooler outlook with winds out of the N/NW. Lows will fall into the upper 40s with daytime highs reaching the low 70s — just a few degrees below average. Temps will remain mild through the end of the week with highs in the low to mid-70s and overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Warmer Weekend, Rain/Storms Return Late Sunday
Warming back up over the weekend with temps near 80 Saturday. Rain and storm chances return late in the weekend into early next week.
