Weather Headlines:
– Temperatures fall quickly this evening behind the cold front.
– Temperatures struggle to get above freezing Friday.
– Very cold air continues through the weekend.

Winter Storm Watch issued for parts of the area south of I-85.

Showers will remain scattered through the evening with a light mixing possible as cold air catches up with the moisture. Temperature will fall quickly this evening with overnight lows in the mid 20s. Patchy black ice is possible Friday morning. The cold front that is crossing the area today will stall well offshore – this will allow limited moisture to make it back to the area, but the moisture that does could result in some snow. Little accumulation is expected (see key points below). Extremely cold air builds in behind tonight with temperatures struggling to get out of the 20s on Friday.

Tonight: Few flurries/sleet possible. Low: 26. Wind: Light N/NE 10-20.

Friday: Mainly dry. Scattered snow and sleet. High: 31. Wind: N/NE 10-20.

Saturday: Sunny. High: 41. Wind: N/NE 5-10.

Stay warm!
