You know by now that we have a big problem with inflation in the U.S. The price is going up for just about everything. But, on top of that, the amount you get in some packaged products is going down…it’s known as “shrinkflation.” In addition to charging more these days, companies may also shrink the package or put less product inside. Foods, like Doritos…a Frito-Lay spokesperson says they took a few chips out of each bag in order to keep the price the same. It reduced the weight of the bags by half an ounce. You can expect fewer WheatThins in a box too. It’s also hitting M&M’s, and Gatorade.
