CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Who is nicer, older adults or younger people? According to new research from the University of Birmingham in England, older people were found to be more kind and generous.
The researchers say that older people are more likely to do things to benefit others such as social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic or donating to a charitable cause. Experts looked at data from more than 45,000 people aged 18 to 99 years old from nearly 70 countries.
The scientists discovered that age was associated with kinder behavior. If you’re interested, you can learn more about the study in the journal Nature Aging.
