GASTON, CO., N.C. – Three firefighters are injured after their fire truck overturned in Gaston County.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Boots Cabaniss shared the photos above from the scene of the accident on Bud Wilson Road.

Authorities say firefighters with Crowders Mountain Fire and Rescue were responding to an apartment fire when their truck left the road and overturned.

Three firefighters were taken to Caromount Regional Hospital.

Fire Chief Woody Thomas tells WCCB Charlotte they have a few bumps and bruises, but they’ll be OK.

North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
