LANCASTER, S.C. — Troopers are investigating a deadly single-vehicle collision in Lancaster County after a driver was killed and their passenger was airlifted to a local hospital with injuries on Thursday.

The collision occurred on Camp Creek Road near Leadoff Road around 6:30 p.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a driver of a 2010 Mini Cooper was heading east on Camp Creek Road when they traveled off the roadway to the right, struck an embankment and tree, and overturned.

The one passenger of the Mini Cooper, 20-year-old Martin Logan, was airlifted by helicopter to a CMC Main with injuries, according to a news release.

Police say the identity of the driver has not yet been released.
