Another below freezing night ahead with overnight low temperatures across the Piedmont in the low 20s with teens in the mountains. Sunny skies dominate Saturday with a cold day on tap. High temperatures will be below average once again – in the low to mid 40s. Temperatures will rise back to the mid 50s on Sunday with a southwest wind building in ahead on Sunday PMs front. This front will bring widespread rain to the area Sunday PM. A cold high pressure will build in behind that front which will bring another wave of below average temperature to the area through the beginning of next week.
