Dry and cold on Saturday with widespread rain Sunday PM

Another below freezing night ahead with overnight low temperatures across the Piedmont in the low 20s with teens in the mountains. Sunny skies dominate Saturday with a cold day on tap. High temperatures will be below average once again – in the low to mid 40s. Temperatures will rise back to the mid 50s on Sunday with a southwest wind building in ahead on Sunday PMs front. This front will bring widespread rain to the area Sunday PM. A cold high pressure will build in behind that front which will bring another wave of below average temperature to the area through the beginning of next week.

Tonight: Clear skies. Low: 23. Wind: N/NW 5-10.

Saturday: Sunny and cold. High: 44. Wind: E 5.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. PM widespread rain. High: 55. Wind: SW during the day. NW late PM.
