CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wilson’s inner NASA Space Geek was on full display at The Schiele Museum in Gastonia, getting ready for the Webb Telescope launch!

The Schiele is one of 500 official NASA host sites across the country chosen to engage the public for the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope.

To celebrate NASA’s next great space observatory mission, the Schiele will have numerous events about this amazing feat of science and engineering, making the excitement of the Webb Telescope accessible to all! The Webb is the largest and most complex space science telescope ever constructed, the international mission, led by NASA is a partnership with the European and Canadian space agencies. It will launch in December 2021.

The Schiele’s “Pigs, Painting & Pancakes” is coming up on Saturday, October 23rd from 9am-1030am. The day will start with pancakes for the kids and a reading of the book “If you give a pig a pancake,” then the musuem’s very own pigs, Orion and Nebula will make their own paintings!
